1930's Arts & Crafts House
This truly charming house is immediately captivating as you wander up a crazy paving path to a majestic stand of Dog Wood flanking the Porte-cochère. We have preserved the character of the house by thoughtfully decorating each space with its intended purpose in mind.

The formal sitting room boasts fuschia taffeta curtains with a beautiful coordinating bird print, taking the raspberry hue from a collection of Antique glass collected by our client. The dining room, opening through double glazed doors from a central vestibule is deliberately masculine with striking chocolate taffeta curtains, providing a distinct difference but retaining a link to the more feminine adjacent sitting room. Antiques collected over time, give a sense of permanence, grounding each space. Antique & contemporary rugs play an integral role being the starting point for each individual scheme.

Through the casual living spaces and large kitchen, designed by Stephen Akehurst, we have used soft duck egg blues and beige with accents of warm caramel and rust to bring an unexpected warmth to these open spaces. Designed to accommodate a busy family life with four growing boys, we maintained a practical approach in each unique selection, ensuring the spaces will stay fresh and timeless for years to come. One of the two staircases is elegantly adorned with a Roger Oates stair runner, leading to a magical gentleman's retreat. This space features family clan tartan, emerald green curtains, and a stunning green ceiling, all complemented by the Dog Wood swaying about in the gentle breeze.
