After 16 wonderful years in retail, we’re entering an exciting new chapter. Our showroom is now closed, but we will remain in our lovely space, for now, operating solely as an Interior Design Studio, by appointment.

This change allows us to focus even more on what we love — Interior Design & Decoration. It’s been the heart of our business from the beginning, and we’re thrilled to be dedicating our full attention to creating beautiful, personal spaces for our clients across Australia & abroad.

Brownlow Interior Design

Established in 1989, Brownlow Interior Design, create stylish interiors with a timeless aesthetic, specialising in Residential & Commercial projects across Australia. Founding Director, Barb Brownlow, a former fashion designer is recognised for her classic, decorative style, with an extensive knowledge of early Antique Furniture, Contemporary Art and the wonderful world of Textiles. Alexandra Brownlow, an active member of the National Gallery of Victoria Womens Association (NGVWA), studied Interior Design & Decoration at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) & is renowned for her unique approach to Design & Decoration, cleverly able to combine a medley of periods and styles within a modern or classic interior.

Brownlow Interior Design remains a long standing member of The Design Institute of Australia. By following a rigorous approach to planning and detail, Brownlow Interior Design create elegant, timeless interiors, with an emphasis on quality & comfort. A finely balanced layering of equisite materials, finishes, furniture, antiques and artwork, provide an exceptional point of difference, for each unique project.

Brownlow Interior Design Studio is located at 409 Malvern Road in South Yarra.
