Casual elegance with a classic twist

Malvern Grand Victorian

With a focus on a restoration style approach, Brownlow Interior Design began working to create a design concept which was sympathetic to the classical architectural features of the house. A restrained colour scheme for the Italianate Octagonal Vestibule, which welcomed the addition of panelled walls and spartan encaustic tiles to the floor, randomly placed with pink tiles leading the eye through to a comfortable yet classic drawing room which features the addition of a stunning Louis 15th fireplace in honed Galala Limestone, a new focal point for the room.

An apple green library extends to views of a lush garden beyond. The dining room has been transformed by removing a modest bay window and adding a steel frame square box bay to emphasise the ceiling height and maximise natural light, walls painted in a rich dark navy adding warmth and a dramatic backdrop for the client’s art collection. The elegant ensuite bathroom features Carrara marble tiles, bench tops contrasting against simple white joinery and polished chrome hardware.
