Glen Iris Residence
Brownlow Interior Design were engaged early on, during the initial design process, for plans to renovate and extend the existing Edwardian House. The design brief brief was to create interiors with a quiet, sophisticated, soft feel, for a young family. Fresh, light colours and textures for all rooms, classic and elegant furnishings combined with a modern rear extension.
A classic shaker style detail was settled upon for the joinery to bathrooms, kitchen and study which was again reinterpreted for all the bespoke internal doors. A vast wall of steel framed windows and doors allow natural light to flood the new living spaces to the back of the house, creating a light and bright space for a busy young family.

A restrained colour palette of duck egg blues and ivory create a calm sanctuary for the master bedroom, a contrast against the surprise of the Roger Oates stair runner and cheerful Toile wallpaper to the adjacent powder room. Bathrooms finished in Classic Carrara Marble paired with antique brass hardware were carefully selected to ensure a lasting look which can be enjoyed for many years to come.
