Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst, a heritage-listed Georgian Villa, built in 1833 by English architect John Verge as a marine villa for surgeon and pastoralist Dr James Bowman, the son-in-law of wool pioneers John and Elizabeth Macarthur. With a chequered past Lyndhurst has been used as a former school, laundry, maternity hospital and industrial building, it is located in the inner western Sydney suburb of Glebe. Brownlow Interior Design have been engaged since 2016 to lead complete restoration of the interiors, alongside our clients heritage Architect expert team. Currently in planning with Heritage NSW, the project is ongoing with expected completion in 2022.
